Either way let us take the time to talk about one of the more well known home automation companies approraitely called Home Automation, Inc.

The company has a long and storied history of providing home automation needs to its customers.

Better known as HAI, the company began in the year 1985. Based in the New Orleans, LA the company is a privately owned one. The intended purpose of HAI to make home situations automated has left them to be very successful. For instance the company’s engineering and product development departments are working together with other outfits both public and privately owned. HAI itself is a private company.

It originally provided automation products to newer markets dealing with automation and controls.

The founders of the company, Tom Pickral, Brian Yokum and Jay McLellan all combined their efforts go from the commercial end of things to the home market. Three years later in 1988 they would introduce their first product for home automation called the Model 1503.

It was the first home system of its kind to safeguard against fires and burglaries. This product also helped make the controls for all lights and controls very easy to use. Telephone access also was a feature added to the Model 1503. The item proved to be a huge money maker for HAI and the clientele and dependability of the products the company made only continued to get better at what they were doing.

In he early 90’s the company saw some major growth and in 1993 it had met profitability and since then the company has stayed afloat.

It has continued to invest in the right things with their profits and they have seen their orgnization reach continued levels of success. There is no doubt that this company which got its humble start in the 1980s is one of the reason home automation is such a fine tuned and well done technology.

The people behind this project have given the home market a very useful setup that we can only hope will continue to increase ten fold as we begin to learn more and more about home automation. Therefore we applaud companies like HAI that are serving as pioneers to something that is only continuing to grow and develop. In time their research and technlogical pursuits have paid off to start a whole new way of thinking and we for one can’t wait to see.
